I just realized the other day that the nurse never called me with my CA-125 number from my last appointment. I am able to access my lab results online now so I looked it up this morning and my number is down to 10 now!

My Story

On Wednesday, October 12, 2011, I was officially diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer (epithelial). I was 35 years old at the time with 6 young children - ages 13 down to 1. I had 3 rounds of chemotherapy treatment, followed by major abdominal surgery just before Christmas and then 3 more rounds of chemo after I had recovered sufficiently from the surgery. This is a journal of my path towards diagnosis as well as my journey through treatment. I am hoping this will be a source of information for others as well as an outlet for me as I attempt to document my thoughts and feelings during this difficult time.
